TheNetWarrior
Hello , I think that you don't free outgoing packets because I can see the kernel memory consumption become very huge when I upload a lot!CONFIG:OSX build 9G55Torrent build 13802Bye ! thelittlefire
What is "very huge"? I've uploaded gigs and I don't see any more than 20 MiB usage. How fast are you uploading??
TheNetWarrior
Did you look on the kernel memory or uTorrent memory ?My kernel memory reached 1,5GB of physical memory .... I think that is very huge.I upload at 120KB/sec.But it's maybe the Kext fault ...
thelittlefire
I'm sorry I don't use the terminal... Activity Monitor instead, it's closest to Process Explorer ( http://sysinternals.com ) is Virtual Memory what you're talking about?? Because if so I ignore that completely. Even top only shows 395 M usage, and that doesn't affect me even with 1 gig of ram.TOP: 16663 uTorrent 1.5% 5:35:06 12 142 339 3312K 13M 11M 395M Activity Monitor: 16663 uTorrent owner 1.8 12 10.85 MB 963.48 MB Intel It's still smaller than all the other user services.1 Mbit up... maybe that's the cause, I can't output more than .25 Mbit
TheNetWarrior
Ok , I made some other tests , it seems that the issue comes from the Kext Sorry about that
thelittlefire
Thanks for the followup. You got me to breakout Top I remember using WinTop back on Win'95. Build OSX 9G55 is the new 10.5.6 correct? Had you used uT on 10.5.5 previously? I'm hoping to reduce the average CPU load but there are conflicting reports of whether there's actually any improvement.
