Chodi Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I'm new to uTorrent, but loving it. I am using Comodo firewall and my computer is connected through an ADSL router. Every time I close out of uTorrent my firewall shows dozens of incoming blocked requests? Sometimes it numbers over a hundred such requests and does not stop, I am guessing that all the connections that I just closed out are still trying to get onto my port? That is what it shows in the firewall report. When uTorrent is running all is operating as it should (except for my miserable ISP playing with bandwidth).I would have thought that when I close out of uTorrent the program would cancel those connections? Have I missed a setting or a procedure somewhere?
Switeck Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Other peers and seeds still retry your ip, especially if they WEREN'T connected to you at the time you disconnected. (They never got the "BYE!" message.)If you had DHT running, your incoming port gets hit really often by it even after uTorrent is closed.
