mullesch2001 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 Well this issue is now resolved. i was using qwest 20Mbps internet with a motorola 3347 modem/router and u torrent seemed to eat all my bandwith and downloaded max at 1.5Mbps and refused to accept forwarded ports so i added half open connection in windows and utorrent did a hard reset of the modem, reconfigured , re-did port forwarding restarted pc and modem and am happy to say that i am downloding slackware at 1.8 MB per second hope this helps someone. i used ports 21000 to 22000 and based it at 21500 not sure if thats bad but it works also 100 half open connections in both windows and u torrent. Switeck Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 uTorrent's net.max_halfopen shouldn't be set as high as windows...or windows can still overload if ANYTHING else tries to make half open connections at the same time as uTorrent maxes out.2nd link in my signature if you haven't already -- your upload is probably horribly low compared to download...so you may have to use 1 megabit/second upload settings or lower.
