timmy1
How do I get downloads to be faster. I've forwarded my ports, and that made an improvement. but I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what my ratios should be in preferences, for optimal downloading speed. Like how much uploading at a time, if any. Should I upload while downloading? Or should I upload after, Because Im going to seed everyrthing after im done downloading, but i want all my things so that way i can leave my computer on without being on it, so people can seed. Can someone give me tips for optimal downloading speeds. Thanks.

Switeck
BitTorrent REQUIRES you to upload while downloading. It works better/downloads faster if you're uploading relatively fast while downloading...but you can often upload at least slightly faster while only seeding.2nd link in my signature.Since you're on ComCast and your connection probably sucks, don't use higher than 1 megabit/second upload-based settings.
