tonyray Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 wondering if after I choose a torrent to dl. should I close that web site or should I leave it open on the task bar pertaining to affecting my dl speed.also, does keeping your upload speed at highest rate,[mine would be approx 72kb's] affect dl speed or should I lower it to get a faster dl.. Switeck Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 A "static" website that's not constantly accessing your computer is perfectly fine to leave open.Most are static...fortunately.Upload speed max set too close to max will decrease download speed a little to a lot.But uploading at 60-70 KB/sec will probably have not reduce download speed.Uploading slower will mean fewer peers are willing to return the favor!2nd link in my signature for matching settings to upload speeds.
