carl606
HiI am a beginner with .torrent files and utorrent, but i still don't really understand how long you should leave the current torrent job "seeding" for.I have only downloaded a few music .torrent files so far, they where around 79mb, so really how much would i have to give back, or upload after the .torrent job has finished. moogly
Theorically until ratio 1:1.Of course it depends on torrent popularity, number of connected peers, torrent size, tracker privacy, bandwidth etc...
carl606
Not that really good on maths, but doe's that mean you have to upload the same amout as you have downloaded
moogly
That's the concept, indeed. You share what you have downloaded to keep alive the torrent.
carl606
thanks moogly.just one more thing though, i have not seen this in the help pages yet, or i have not got that far. When you have downloaded, and are seeding, and you basically have not uploaded that much, and you have to turn your computer off, can you carry on seeding with the same .torrent job when you turn the computer back on. Switeck
Yes, uTorrent will start running old torrents that aren't stopped when it's started again.
