j.me
I've been using uTorrent for a while and it used to work fine until one day it suddenly froze the internet if I tried to access it from a browser. I started using it again today and it seemed slower than it usually is. I'm on a 20meg connection (which i get, I've checked on speedtest.net) so decided to check if my port was open. It turns out it wasn't so I opened it on my router config page and now its downloading at less than 1kB/s.The port number is 55359 if that might be the problem. I'm also running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.Thanks in advance for any help.
Switeck
Your connection isn't 20 megabit/sec UPLOAD, which is what uTorrent cares about. So if in Speed Guide (CTRL+G) you used anything faster than probably 1 megabit/sec upload (and your ISP may give LESS)...your results are not surprising. j.me
My upload speed is 750kbps. I used to have the upload at 20kb/s as this gave me best results. I've since set the upload to 75kb/s but it isn't changing a thing. I've tried the guides in the signature of your post but no no avail. It's only happened since i opened the port on my router. Switeck
1st link in my signature...your router and/or modem is probably overloaded by something uTorrent is doing.
