gonzesse
Each time I add a new torrent, uT (v.1.8.2) has a delay in connecting to peers. It usually starts downloading after a few hours.
Switeck
Do you happen to already have 40+ torrents started?New torrents are added to the bottom of the list of started torrents.
gonzesse
I only have 1 downloading, the rest (~70) are just seeding.
Switeck
Just seeding = also started. So uTorrent has to check ips on potentially 70 other torrents before starting ips on the new torrent.Yeah, I can see why that would cause a delay!uTorrent may be causing 4226 errors in Windows. Check under Control Panel, Admin Tools, Event Monitor.Other than that, try 1st and 2nd links in my signature.
gonzesse
Thanks for your help. There are no 4226 errors, I checked. I deleted some of the torrents I was just seeding and now it has picked up the pace. I didn't think of the upload as equally resource-consuming. Thanks again
Switeck
Even just attempting "dead" peer/seed ips burns upload bandwidth.
