mklangelo
I used to have cable and had GREAT speeds with utorrent ( I had achieved 600kb/s on well seeded torrents when the cable connection was only 5mb/1.5kb) )... Now I'm on a wireless connection with 8mb/2mb speeds and am only getting ~70kb/s on a torrent with dozens of seeds. My question is what do I need to change to get the full potential of this wireless connection which is much faster than the cable internet connection I used to have? Thanks in advance.Mk
Switeck
1st link in my signature, the slow speed section.
mklangelo
I think I have found my problem. I'm sharing someone's wireless connection and need to get into their router program and foward a port. Thanks! I am uploading at 180 KB/s though, so once I get that port open, I'll be going at crazy speeds.
Switeck
Choose 1.5 or 2 megabit/sec upload settings from 2nd link in my signature...but you may need to reduce global and per torrent connection max to 60 or less, since wireless tends to die if it has to handle 100+ connections at once.
