samyghan Posted July 14, 2009 Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 Hi i am a french user of utorrent since many years and i am a webmaster from a file-sharing website and i would like to know when the Bit Tornado Http-based Seeding Specification ( http://www.bittornado.com/docs/webseed-spec.txt ) should be supported by utorrent !I saw that utorrent support the GetRight HTTP seeding specification ( http://getright.com/seedtorrent.html ), but it difficult for us to monitor and limit this kind off HTTP seed.it makes me sad to write a message on the download page to incite users to use another bittorrent client.I hope this specification should be supported by utorrent !Cordially Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's not a particularly popular way of implementing webseeds.It's not that difficult to limit seeds with the Getright spec, just limit connections from IP or something or rate limit IPs.
