Freezing in Vista

It was working just fine until last night. Now it freezes almost as soon as I start it.

When I close it the process remains and is impossible to shut down. It (the process)shuts down after about 2 minutes. I have tried turning off the firewall completely. Setting the compatibility with XP. Reinstalling the program twice.

Have you installed a program recently before this new freezing?

And can you add Process Explorer log when uT's running.

Select utorrent.exe and enable DLL mode (ctrl+d).

Do You mean whether I have installed uTorrent right before the problem or much earlier? No the program has been installed for awhile now.

Or do You mean whether I have installed other programs recently (before the freezing started)? A few. I've installed some games as well as a few apps. All of the programs I usually install on my PCs have never had issues with uTorrent. The only new ones are CodeBlocks and Driver Sweeper.

2 Dlls injected into uT. And the 2nd one is really suspect. What's its role?

Try to remove it and check if freezing continues.

The second one is from IDM. It's a download helper. Makes most downloads go really fast.

And no it shouldn't have been injecting itself into uT.

I have disabled both and it's still freezing. Although I have just realized that it freezes when I remove a torrent. I have remove a few torrents today and every time the uT froze.

Are your torrents (I mean data associated to torrents) saved on another drive than uT?

No. Same hdd. I put both downloads and torrents into the same folder if that matters.

Today I have the same problem. It is very strange, because I didn't install any new software. And windows han no updates. I tryed to clean hdd space then used default vista cmd defrag, but nothing changed.

I think I fixed it. I had custom directories setup in the option for the downloads. I changed it back to the default settings and now it seems to work just fine.

Never mind it just froze again.
