Concetta Posted September 7, 2009 Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 I am relatively new to UTorrent.I have had a few torrents which were fully downloaded and seeding. That is - up till this morning when they show -"Error; can't open torrent file..."The files have not been moved from their original location - so I don't understand what is happening.Any help is greatly appreciated. moogly Posted September 7, 2009 Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 A torrent = a .torrent file (saved by default in folder %appdata%\utorrent) + data (or files if you prefer).Anyway the user can set a specific folder to store .torrent files in Preferences > Directories. Concetta Posted September 7, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 I've checked that the file is in the same place as it always has been. I have not changed any settings on UTorrent. So - if they were all seeding last night at 3 a.m. - why wouldn't they be now? Does UTorrent change the settings/position of the files on its own? 1) I went to the file of the download. 2) I clicked on properties - all that appears the same. 3) UTorrent options/preferences shows the same computer file which the film is now sitting in.
