djwhack03 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Share Posted September 28, 2009 I signed up for AT&T DSL Pro (3 Mbps down, 512 kbps up) and it came with a free 2wire 2701 HG-B modem/router. The problem is, whenever I turn on torrents, the internet connection gets really slow, even if the torrent speeds aren't very high. Even if I am only downloading at 30 kb/s, I can barely surf the web and do simple things like use facebook. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with my router settings since I know others with AT&T in the area who don't have this problem, but don't have this router. I have my ports forwarded properly and have the little green check at the bottom of my utorrent window. I would appreciate any help since this is kind of a pain in the ass.
