I was wondering which would be the best antivirus software to install, that will have the least impact on the system's perfomance and on μtorrent? Thanks for your help. Avoid Norton at all costs (if the computer came with it (probably in trial form or something), use this tool http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039 ). Avast, AVG, and Avira are all free, I wouldn't install the web and e-mail components though, those might be problematic (have been in the past).
