JDM4RTiN3Z Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I've been trying to work the bugs out on this problem for awhile now. I followed the directions given from the speed check page of my ut client, and it keeps failing. The ip I changed to forward from shows up when I check status of my router. But when I do a speed check it fails from yet a diferent ip? Did I change the wrong one? All the info I gathered was from ipconfig /all. My isp is tdsmetrocom could the problem lie there? Thanks alot for any help.JD
GTHK Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 The IP that gets checked is probably the routers public one, the router has a public address and then a private address for computers inside the network. Computers also get private addresses too, so all normal so far. What guides have you tried? http://azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs
JDM4RTiN3Z Posted October 5, 2009 Author Report Posted October 5, 2009 http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Utor/Utorindex.htm is the only resource I know of. I only know that one because ut forwarded me there after doing a speed check.
GTHK Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Speed check? What version are you using? What make and model modem and router do you have?
JDM4RTiN3Z Posted October 5, 2009 Author Report Posted October 5, 2009 I used dslreports.com for my speedcheck and my modem is an "Actiontec GT724-WG"
