kflow11
I am currently having a problem being stuck with downloads. Real truth of the matter is that I am jumping off of someone else internet on my laptop and wondering if that is the problem for slow download. If not, I was reading something about "port forwarding" to speed up downloading? Is that another option despite me using someone else internet connection? Please help.. Leperkawn
By "jumping off of someone else internet," do you mean you're using someone else's wireless without their knowledge? As risky as that is in itself, it should not directly cause speed problems (assuming you get a decent signal). Have you checked out these threads (from Switeck's sig)?1st:Have you tried Ultima's Troubleshooting Guide?: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=159922nd:Recommended uTorrent settings: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404
Switeck
Assume you only have a fraction of the line's capacity. That means REALLY low settings -- like 256 kilobit/sec upload or less from my speed guide.
