nine56
My university will not allow us to upload anything via wired connection (they shut off our port immediately if we upload, whether through torrents, iTunes, etc.). However, if we use the wireless connection, we can get around this problem because they can't shut off the wireless ports. The problem I'm having is that I regularly get download speeds anywhere from 5kb/s - just under 100 kb/s (rarely). My upload speeds regularly are between 500 kb/s - 1mb/s. If I decrease my upload speed at all, it decreases my download speed severely. I have outgoing encryption enabled.I know our network is T2 and has the capacity to download at very fast speeds, I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Switeck
1st and 2nd links in my signature...since you're sharing the wireless bandwidth, use 2 mbit/sec upload settings OR LOWER. ...And definitely reduce global and per-torrent max connections to ~100 or less.
