ul
To reproduce:1. Look at your torrents and find a seed to block.2. Add the seed's IP range to the bottom of ipfilter.dat3. In advanced options, set ipfilter.enable = false, press OK4. In advanced options, set ipfilter.enable = true, press OK5. Wait 5-10 minutes, observe as he continues to be connected, uploading to you6. Exit µTorrent & reopen.7. Watch as the IP you added attempts to connect and is immediately blocked.Does µTorrent periodically check the list of already connected peers to see if they match ipfilter.dat?(edit) Or better, does µTorrent check the list of already connected peers when ipfilter.dat is reloaded? Firon
Nope, it doesn't disconnect currently connected peers. Only applies to new connections.
ul
Firon, thanks for the reply. If this thread was submitted this to http://www.niteshdw.com/utorrent/ , would anyone on the µTorrent team consider it a 'good feature' worthy of possibly putting on a todo list?Specifically, the request would be: When reloading ipfilter.dat, check already-connected peers to see if they appear on the list.
