tomccfc87 Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Ive been using uTorrent for a while now but in the last couple of weeks my downloads have slowed right down and im lucky if i can get up to 5kB/s on my 512kbps connection.Ive looked all over the internet for advice but i havent got a clue what most of the jargon means (im good with most computer jargon but as soon as internet connection jargon comes into it im stumped)Can anybody please give me advice on how best to get my faster download speeds back in plain english?
Ultima Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 We need more information, and try to describe your problem more precisely. Also, try reading the FAQ entry. I feel it's plain English enough for you to understand... If you're not sure what something means, just ask away =]After

tomccfc87 Posted February 20, 2006 Author Report Posted February 20, 2006 OK ive now found out that my port is forwarded and everything else is as it should be. So why still so slow?
1c3d0g Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 What's the availability? It might just be a slow torrent. Not every day is Christmas either. Don't expect all torrents to be fast, because you will be disappointed. :/
tomccfc87 Posted February 20, 2006 Author Report Posted February 20, 2006 Availability isnt great (not bad either tho) Ive had worse and got faster download speeds from the same TV series episodes im downloadingAlso if it was just today i was having this problem i would just accept it as a slow day but its been going on for about a week
Ultima Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Try the OpenOffice.org v2.0.1 torrent and report back how it runs.
