tiaza
I can download, I can upload, but I can't save new torrents. They download just ducky, but when I click on the downloaded file, although uTorrent opens up, I get the error message "unable to save .torrent to ... " and it gives the path + torrent name. It gives no explanation WHY it can't save it there. Also that's the path where torrents are saved, not the one I have specified for downloads.Any suggestions? Switeck
Maybe the torrent's filename is too long?Save it as something shorter and maybe even save it somewhere like C:\a\
tiaza
Thanks, Switeck! I will be reading those links real soon.Ever take your car to the mechanic because it's making that weird noise - only it won't do it when you're there? Well, I kept doinking around with my settings and backed into a solution. If the problems was it couldn't save to that path (where it wasn't supposed to go in the first place), I unchecked it as the place to store torrents. I have no idea WHY this worked, but perhaps one of your links will give me a clue. Thanks so much for your fast response,, too!
Switeck
I've seen weird characters cause a .torrent file to not save as well, especially ones from extended character sets. (Japanese and Chinese espeically!)I had to edit the filename to get it to work...BitComet is notoriously bad for making torrents with "broken" filenames.
