martynf1 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Share Posted August 1, 2010 I have been on vacation for three weeks and have come back and BitTorrent will not download anything on either of my computers.I get the same error on both "Error opening Windows firewall: 0x80070005 Access is denied" even if I turn Windows firewall off.The torrents appear on my list but the arrow just turns red and there is no download. I use a VPN to avoid any issues with my work network and it does this even at home so it does not appear to be firewall or network related.I have uninstalled and reinstalled it on one of my computers but it is still the same.Has something changed that I need to be aware of? paintball9 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Share Posted August 1, 2010 Thats your problem, when windows firewall is off it can't access it to let itself through. It is normally set on, with BitTorrent allowed in the exceptions, and it still does not work.I have changed nothing since I went on vacation.I use an SSTP VPN to avoid restrictions on VPN traffic from my ISP.
