download problem

If your broad band speed is 192 then your theoretical max download speed will be somewhere around 20-24 Kilobytes/s, If that's what you're already getting then you're maxing your connection out.

Do a speed test to find out your UPLOAD speed and then use this chart to setup your client.

ya that would be it, you're downloading on both and when the two clients realize they are so close to each other they share the parts they each have seperately. There is really no reason to do that, a lot of times you'll be downloading the same piece twice. Also some trackers will recognize this as seeding to yourself and ban you for cheating your ratio.

They will be transferring to each other, so whatever pieces one doesn't have the other one will give to it, and likewise until they both have exactly the same pieces. So basically you're just dowloading the whole file twice but it will be a little bit faster than that because some of the files will come from you instead of someone else online.

Nice thread hijack but anyways

When a download is finished it begins to seed, ideally you want to upload as much as you've downloaded. however if you're not connecting to any peers you won't upload. Make sure you're connectible and there are actually peers to upload to. Most private trackers are chronically over seeded and thus hard or impossible to upload on.
