It keeps accessing the HD and since the HD is external its becoming unbearable to listen to all day.Anything I can do to stop this noise apart from limiting the amount of files im sharing? Switeck Posted September 21, 2010 Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 Make uTorrent's cache bigger and verify uTorrent is using the cache.Reduce upload slots -- better faster to fewer peers, which can use fewer+bigger reads from the hard drive at a time, than slower to many peers -- which requires lots of little reads.If you have huge amounts of ram, seed some of your smaller torrent/s from a ramdrive!
