Or failures, it say "Downloading freeds..", and after, "Next update in..", for a simple user it look like the rss file has been downloaded, but rss are empty, huh. Firon
The same thing happens if you don't put HTTP in the tracker URL. This is more of a request than a bug (since you should be putting in the HTTP after all)
Adrenalin_
Firon, how about to write about this "feature" ?I personally never write http:// in the front when i enter some url, and when i first time tryed to enter a rss address in uTorrent, i get no results, because i don't put http://.. And also i have not get any errors or warrings. I think this is not normal.http stand for hyper text transfer protocol that mean port 80. In the case when i don't put http, but :80, it also should work !? www.mininova.org:80/rss.xml
Firon
HTTP does not mean port 80. I've got a webserver on port 8000, AIM uses HTTP on port 5190 and 4443, trackers are on a ton of different ports (and they use HTTP), etc. HTTP is a protocol, it doesn't really have a port, though port 80 is the "most used." Lack of http:// doesn't tell you what protocol it is.This is still a request.
Adrenalin_
Firon, check http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers, http 80/tcp World Wide Web HTTPTHE "WELL KNOW" PORT FOR HTTP IS 80 ! WRITE IN ANY BROWSER HTTP://WHATEVERwithoutEXPRESSportSPECIFICATION, AND YOU'LL SEE IT WILL CONNECT TO THE PORT 80 !Is uTorrent using for RSS feeds download somethink else than HTTP protocol ? If it even use, isn't 99% of RSS feeds served using HTTP protocol ? And shouldn't uTorrent give me any errors message/warrings about the thing what i have not put "http://" in front, but don't act like the rss feed are empty ?Firon, and if i remember correct, on your #2 post, "This is more of a request", was "This is more of a feature", have you edit the message without leave a notice ?Hey, and that was just a bug report, this is a habit stuff(automatically put http in front) what all normal browsers/downloaders/rss readers/[put any normal app what use mainly http, here] are doing these days.Or at least, put smth. like, "please specify the protocol in front of url, or it will not work".Ok, i see you have move my topic to "Feature Requests", ok, i hope this new "feature" will be added soon..Thanks for attention ;p
