hrnymstrtoad
winXP SP3, bit torrent 7.1, PC Tools Firewall 6.0.0.8.8, and using port 45682. I think I've set up PC Tools for port forwarding. When I start bit torrent for the first time, I look at the Speed Guide, select Seattle, and run. I get the message that the Port is Open. So far so good. Now, when I click to start a download, I go back and run the Speed Guide. This time I get the message that the Port is Not Open. If I restart BT and run the test, the port is now open, but when I start a download, its not open. So, is my port open or not? I've been looking around for directions for PC Tools, like this: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=7862 but I couldn't find anything. I want to see if I'm set up correctly or not. Does anyone know where I can find the info for this? Thanks
Switeck
Use a different port checker to see if your port is actually open.Do note it could be open on TCP but not UDP, or vice-versa.
hrnymstrtoad
thanks, but I'm pretty sure I've got it set up for both TCP and UDP for in and out.
