stemo76
I recently set my encryption to forced. The first and only thing I downloaded after that I received a nasty gram from comcast about copy right infringment. Showing me the file that I downloaded and the copyright owner. I thought encryption didn't allow my ISP to see what was being passed?
Frique
This was my question as well. Does setting the encryption to forced actually work?
moogly
No. It's only obfuscation. Anyway the encryption protocol used in BT is not enough strong to provide a complete security and privacy.
Frique
So basically it is just there for peace of mind. Any organization with access to your data stream (i.e. your ISP) and a bit of willpower can monitor your up/downloads. Good thing I am paranoid and I keep it to the legal side.
