Zublybub Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Started downloading a 6 gig torrent and made it to 40% and received "the request could not be completed i/o error". Any attempts to "Start" the torrent again leads to this problem in about 2 minutes. I have read all the forums I can find and all I have come up with is run chkdsk. Zublybub Posted April 22, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Update: Computer froze and required a forced shutdown BEFORE I ran the chkdsk. Assuming they are related; (i/o error and freeze), the chkdsk didn't fix the problem. (I am learning as I go with this HD problem and solution.) Computer just froze and required another forced shutdown AFTER chkdsk. As far as utorrent goes, everything seems normal, though I didn't get the initial error message until the specific file got to 40% completed. (At 10% currently.) It should be noted that both freezes happened while utorrent was up and downloading. Hoping it's related and not just sheer coincidence. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
