ShinAkuma
This is a weird problem...When I exit uTorrent the entire application freezes. The only way to kill it is by going to the taskmanager and killing the utorrent.exe of fthe task list.Sometimes uTorrent will exit just fine if I pause all the used torrents and sometimes it freezes even when I do that.I uninstalled all firewalls and I still get the same problem. It's not a huge issue, but it's still quite annoying.Thankful for any answers that might come up. Ultima
Any other softwares that might conflict, especially real-time security software? Take a look at the Incompatible Software section of the FAQ also (if you haven't already done so) to see if there's something else you're missing. Ares
From what I hear, when you close µTorrent, the GUI exits and the process stays in the background until it has reported all your stats to the trackers. In other words, if you have some torrents from slow trackers, µTorrent might stay open (no GUI, but listed in Task Manager) for a minute or so. This was done on request, for all us private tracker users. It's a feature, not a bug. If the GUI is freezing on you, however, my apologies, as I misunderstood. But it makes sense, especially if you stop the torrents first, as that would have already reported your stats to the tracker(s). -Ares
Firon
If you have lots of torrents loaded, and many of them are active, the shutdown takes longer. Large torrents (mainly those with lots of files) especially.
CiTay
I can confirm this. When i shut down XP without closing utorrent first, Windows complains that it doesn't react, and offers me to force-close it.
Firon
You shouldn't force it. It's not hanging, it just takes up to 15 seconds. It will close by itself.
