darksolitude
I'm having a couple of issues but the main one is a file size issue. For instance a torrent with 705mb I had a selected file size of 700mb to download (left out the junk files) and yet when it completed it showed 870mb downloaded total. Not sure what is going on with this but would appreciate any help! I don't want to waste bandwith I could use for seeding. I am also having an issue with utorrent downloading files I have unselected. It just downloads them anyways. Am using utorrent 3.1.2 build 26773Thanks for your help.

DreadWingKnight
What is the piece size of the torrent and how many files were downloaded in such a way that you might have been dealing with overlapping pieces?
darksolitude
Piece size of the file within the torrent that I chose for download is 700.There are 7 files within the torrent but I only selected the 1 file.The list of files and there piece sizes :# 1 - 1.44mb & 2 pieces.# 2 - 700mb & 700 pieces.# 3 - 154kb & 2 pieces.# 4 - 8.37kb & 1 piece.# 5 - 4.22 mb & 5 pieces.# 6 - 353 b & 1 piece.# 7 - 167 b & 1 piece.I think this is what you were asking for. DreadWingKnight
Could you provide a screenshot of the info tab with the offending torrent selected please?
darksolitude
Ok well I accidently deleted that torrent when I was trying to get it to the top of my list. Here is a screen shot of the current torrents in there. You can see some of them are incorrect file sizes too. The j.edgar one is really messed up as far as file size goes. DreadWingKnight
That doesn't show the info tab like I asked for. That only shows the torrent list.

DreadWingKnight
The most likely cause of your issue is either cross-file pieces or uTorrent counting protocol overheads in the "Downloaded" amount.
darksolitude
I'm not sure what that means. Is there something that can fix it? Thank you for your help btw.
DreadWingKnight
Cross-file pieces aren't fixable without a MAJOR, backwards-compatibility breaking rewrite of the protocol.Protocol overhead isn't fixable at all because you MUST communicate with peers to get and acknowledge downloads.
