DexSK
Just a quick question. I don't have a public IP, and my provider's gateway is blocking incoming connections to ports outside those assigned to known services (like 80 for HTTP). So I've got limited connectivity despite that uTorrent shows green on the network test part, port forwarded correctly (my personal router is configured for UPNP and manual port forward, but an external website reports port is closed). My question: Is it possible and safe (security concern) to set uTorrent up for port 80, that is not blocked by mi ISP? I don't have anything else running on port 80, no web server. And if, do I have to pay attention to my firewall rules, not to let anyone break into my system by that one open port? Thanks alot. Set your router configuration/admin interface to ONLY listen/respond on LAN IPs. Read your router manual to find out how.If you are running Skype, set it to use alternative ports.Set uTorrent WebUI to an alternative port.
