Proxin
I normally have my upload set to around 50 because i have a bandwidth cap, and I've just noticed since I reformatted that my torrent doesnt download fast at all if I have my upload set to 50.I've tested it with random stuff and if I set my upload to 0 it goes like 10mb/s if I set upload to 50 it drops to 200kb/s INSTANTLY and switch i tback to 0 BOOM right back up....Does anyone know what could be causing this? ciaobaby
BitTorrent clients use a "Tit-for-tat" algorithm, so if your client is connected to peers running clients that are strict about the "share and share alike" method could be a factor. Proxin
I still don't understand. I reformatted and I changed some settings like normal and now when I try it does the 0 upload gives me my good download but 50 upload gives me like 5kb/s. This isn't normal. The sites I get from don't do that. None have changed anything. It has to be something with utorrent.
ciaobaby
The sites I get from don't do that. It's not the 'sites' but the peers that connect to you and that you connect to.To fully diagnose what and why, you need to do more testing with different setting and pay attention to the peer flags and/or logging to get a better idea of what is actually happening. The "tit for tat" suggestion is just that, a suggestion based on the information available. It has to be something with utorrent. Why?
