fatalinjury
Like in the topic. I tried to decompress it with UPX, but it wouldn't work. What is it compressed with then?

fatalinjury
A compiler.Which one? I don't know any compiler that compresses code. They're supposed to compile, assemble and link. Not compress.
ciaobaby
They're supposed to compile, assemble and linkWell there you are then. I guess what you don't know is that the downloadable exe file is NOT an installer archive or a self extracting archive, it is THE application, the installer code in it only runs if started in an environment without an existing uTorrent install which then simply copies itself to the appropriate location. Thank you.
ciaobaby
rather sophisticated. Not especially, if the application doesn't need lots of external data files or 'custom' Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs), an installer package is not really needed, registry entries can be written and config files built "on the fly" quite simply.
