chrome issue

I run utorrent 3.3 out of a VM on my nas. The apache server on the nas routes /gui to the proper port on the VM. utorrent is set to only accept web requests from the nas IP. HTTPS is routed through my router into the house.  Inside the house everything works fine accessing utorrent web. From remote though when I connect from chrome using HTTPS it displays "invalid request". Firefox works fine. Very strange that chrome is broken. If there is anything you want me to collect let me know.
