laucastillo Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 My internet speed is usually from 4-8Mbps and before when I download torrents usually the download speed would be 400-800kB/s. BUT NOW MY INTERNET SPEED DIDNT CHANGE BUT THE DOWNLOAD SPEED FOR TORRENT AVERAGES ONLY 20kB/s. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? I DON'T THINK THE PROBLEM IS FROM THE NUMBER OF SEEDERS. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?
iRobo Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Hm what kind of torrent are you downloading? TPB or KAT or Linux? because it can depend on the seeds
spatch777 Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 ISPs throttle torrent downloads these days. As soon as they see you downloading torrents over 1Mbps, they will automatically kick in a machine that can throttle your dl. Try it some time, after not having utorrent up, and you will see at first, good download speeds, then even just seconds or a minute later, wham, now not good. Try limiting your download speed in utorrent to 800kbps and that might do it for you; still good download speeds without the limiting.
