Clicking Drive Issue

I know that this is an old issue that was supposedly fixed, but I am having this issue on a E5-571-5552 from Acer that has already been tested with the tools to short and long test it and it is perfectly fine.

Anyone have a fix for this issue? It appears to be only present on Toshiba drives and Seagate drives.

Clicking drive probably means your hard drive is going bad and will fail at a later time. I'd look at replacing it and getting the data off of it. The western digital raptor 320gb that was in my acer laptop started doing that and I continue to use it as spare for media files. I don't think the clicking has anything to do with the application.

a simple test is to use utorrent with a new hard drive. and another simple test is to see if the clicking continues occur on read or writes using a different application. i think its a hardware issue.
