Lerianis
I know that this is an old issue that was supposedly fixed, but I am having this issue on a E5-571-5552 from Acer that has already been tested with the tools to short and long test it and it is perfectly fine.Anyone have a fix for this issue? It appears to be only present on Toshiba drives and Seagate drives.
hermanm
Clicking drive probably means your hard drive is going bad and will fail at a later time. I'd look at replacing it and getting the data off of it. The western digital raptor 320gb that was in my acer laptop started doing that and I continue to use it as spare for media files. I don't think the clicking has anything to do with the application. a simple test is to use utorrent with a new hard drive. and another simple test is to see if the clicking continues occur on read or writes using a different application. i think its a hardware issue.
