Memory Hogging And Can't Reinstall uTorrent

I am using Windows 7 64Bit

Initially I was using the Utorrent (3.1.3 build 26837)

and when it asked for an update, I clicked Yes but it always produced an error screen of not being able to update.

Until recently, the Utorrent crashed and I couldn't access the Utorrent interface at all. So I tried to start it up manually , the utorrent still didn't start but I noticed a large increase in the amount of RAM used, and when I opened the TaskManager, it was as though I was running multiple utorrents at the same time yet there was nothing there.

So I restarted the computer and uninstalled it after ending the process. I read the sticky about using the new beta. I can only download it and click install but the installer doesn't start. Instead a high amount of RAM is used up again and it shows in TaskManager that utorrent installer is running but yet again nothing to be seen appearing in the desktop.

The pattern is the same no matter what version of the utorrent I double click, a huge amount of ram(400mb worth) is being used by the utorrent installer but no installation interface at all.

Here is the bug report. I have highlighted the utorrent unusual RAM usage. Please help me with this problem, thank you.

how do i do this? basic terms please, im new

With uTorrent closed:

my computer window - address bar - %appdata%\uTorrent

delete the lot.

this works like a charm
