DreadWingKnight
Do OpenOffice torrents work?If not, blame rogers.
a loo
yes those torrents appear to be working...around 30 kbs avg....although before i reinstalled windows i have been able to reach speeds up to at least 200kbs.....we can eliminate the router as a problem as i have directly connected it to my modem...regular torrents are still not workingcurrent set-up global max connections - 750connections per torrent - 100upload max 186kbsconnection type 2mbitencryption enabledsp2 patchedgreen symbol onconnected directly into modem (Motorola)no other firewall besides windows
DreadWingKnight
Rogers has been stepping up their efforts to interfere with BitTorrent traffic recently. You might look into that.OpenOffice torrents should max out your connection's download speed.

Switeck
a loo,By the way, you mentioned "connection type 2mbit" in your details about your setup.Even if Rogers interfering isn't the cause...hopefully that's not what you used in Speed Guide (CTRL+G)!What's the fastest upload speeds you've seen reached and sustained by µTorrent?(I don't trust online tests with Rogers throttling BitTorrent traffic specifically.) a loo
hey yeah i realized the 2mbit was wrong, i've changed it to 384k....ive reformatted and connected my computer back to the router and now my stats areglobal max connections - 230connections per torrent - 80upload max 35kbsconnection type 384kencryption enabledsp2 patchedgreen symbol onupnp enabledport forwardedupnp and utorrent allowed on windows firewalllinksys befsr41v2i am still only averaging 10-20kbs on a torrent with over 2000 seeds and peersbefore reformatting and reinstalling windows a couple days ago i could hit the cap on my upload rates...my download rates could also hit up to 200-300kbsanymore suggestions? Switeck
Depends on what your upload speeds are doing once you have enough of the torrent to upload to other peers. Are the upload speeds steady, bursty, or nonexistent? Also, are the download speeds steady at 10-20 KB/sec?
a loo
download and upload speeds are bursty....download speeds are now bursting up to 30-40...upload speeds appear to be bursting up 10-20...but both speeds die down to under 10 then go back up periodically...speeds never go over

Switeck
For now, just try to find a stable, sustainable upload speed...then choose the closest matching Speed Guide setting for it. It may be necessary to reduce max connections in the hopes that fewer=more stable.
