    done ... :)

One small thing that always annoys me:

When using the "Add Torrent" button, it forgets the last directory opened (prev. session). You need to search for it again each time you do Add .

Is it possible to remember (in-between sessions) the last directory opened with the "Add Torrent" button? Or at least use the path defined in the "pref.other->" dialog ?

  2. if you ask me - expressions are 'too much' for episodes' order detection ... and we have pseudo expressions in the filter itself anyways.

  3. B 1875 :

possible problem with RSS using smart EP:

    * in the case that two or more different episodes are currently on different feeds, it should download both . It seems like it only download both if it scans the feed with the older one first. If, by any chance, it scanned the feed with the newer one first - it will not download the older one.

And a suggestion if I may : add support for the format me & Ultima have mentioned above -"S1EP1-S2EP2" ...

  4. Ultima editted:

Edit: Regarding testing... just make a fake RSS feed and "host" it using webui or HTTP File Server or something.

...too much for me... I'll have to wait till the next season of 24... why don't you try it... ;)

  5. btw - the "3x22-" format looks a bit 'incomplete'/un-intuitive to me... I imagined that they change it so it will support something like 3X01-4x24 ... (instead of 3X01-24) in other words => instead of S1xEP1-EP2 -> S1xEP1-S2xEP2.

what do you think ? and they still can ...

... and it's not so easy to check that this long-term range actually works...

  6. I always wondered why the question:

"The torrent you are trying to add is already in the list. Do you want load trackers?"

Even if the tracker('s) is already in the list!?

True... just add the tracker to the torrent (if it does not exist there yet ) and stop asking silly questions... ;) you can focus on the existing torrent then, and log the mesage... or add an option "auto add tracker..."

  7. @rafi: Ah yes smart filter. Well I guess they check all feeds with the same link and name (without adding the torrent again) as a default behavior and didn't disable this when the smart filter is used.

Exactly... a bit hard to get 'them' to comprehend this ... ;)

  8. @Lord Alderann: first I asid - it's not a big issue... Next your logic is wrong since one fact was missing (from you) - I use the smart episodes' filter/option. In this case - only the first found feed is handled, and the rest are ignored. this "first" one - should be marked.

Another point is that there is currently no way to tell what feed was torrent located on. The history list would be a possibility, a unique mark on the releases is another option (or just proper color code this mark).

    Again, no big deal...

@ rafi - the "identical" ones in these cases would not have different trackers, as they would be pointing to the exact same .torrent file (not just a matching infohash, but the exact same file). Identical entries should not get checked unless they have both the same name and .torrent. If this is not what you're seeing in the latest build, please let us know.

Yes, it is what I see. As I said - no big need, just strance to see two marks w/o any record of what feed you downloaded it from.

May be - just add the feed's name into the history list....

  10. @ rafi - regarding issue 2, the icons are that way by design. If you have two separate feeds pointing to the same URL, both torrents are the same, so downloading one should mark the other(s), much like how a browser will mark a link as visited. Does anyone else have any opinions regarding this behavior?

hmmm, it is somewhat logical.... my opinion - it should mark the one actually downloaded, if you would have also try to auto-add the trackers from all those identical ones, this would make more sense. not really a big deal.

edit: an idea - maybe use another icon color for duplicate links - like liter blue...

  11. still, some problems in 1703:

    1. when selecting pref.->downloads->don't start-the dl automatically - this did NOT effect the RSS auto-downloader, but only manual downloads . Seems that it is stopping auto-downloads now. should be fixed.

    2. older bug - two RSS downloads with the same link in two feeds are both marked with blue "v" in releases when only one is downloaded.

    BTW -

    * an option can be added for the case that similar torrents are being detected in RSS with two trackers, to auto-add those trackers to the download

    * a new filter/expression related to the torrent file download properties will be helpful (like smaller/greater/equal then XXX KBs)

  12. hmmm... you are right.. I though you did it in the latest beta, but I might not have noticed that it was allready implemented... sorry

    Edit:

BTW, just an idea I had:

Many RSS feeds are not for torrents but for include other files. one examples - is subtitles (usually zip files), another - periodic software updates.

What do you think about adding the capability to download such files too ? either by an internal http loader , or easier - just using IE (or whatever download manger the user is using for HTTP) ?

one thing that might be needed in this case - to be able to define (on a per feed base/property) the ability to substitute a string in the link . Many feeds have links only for the page of the file, and not the file itself .

    Example:

    in: http://www.torec.net/rss.asp

    page/link in rss feed: http://www.torec.net/sub.asp?sub_id=9620

    actual download link http://www.torec.net/download.asp?sub_id=9620

    downloading file: http://www.torec.net/subs/lost.s03e19.hdtv.xvid.heb.zip

At the time, utorrent guys used for that the rsssatelite.com service -

    http://UTORRENT.rssatellite.com

I'm not sure it works any more

  13. your are right, it's realy so.

    BTW -

    1. [08:13:42] Unable to load "<NULL>": Torrent is already loaded! - is displayed w/o a name..

    2. can you make the "del" ke work in the history tab ?

the RSS has been improved a lot since 1.6 , thanks.
