Did you send your torrent and settings to the devs? Same thing happens with default/clean settings? No. All torrent, default(clean) settings has a same problem. I tested utorrent 3.x on three systems. (Sandybridge i5-Win7x64Ult, Arrandale i3-Win7x64HomeP, Conroe Pentium-Win7x86Ult) I also test with real system, virtualbox WinXP, sandboxie.

Hashing is not necessarily read bytes from DISK. Even if it's hashed from the cache, I believe it still shows up there. I monitor "Windows 7 | Resource Monitor | Disk | Processes with Disk Activity | Read (B/sec)" = uTorrent 3.x hashing bytes Hashing is read bytes from DISK. Not memory.

Maybe dev team don't have the ability for bug fixing. So they say "low priority, no one use, no problem." or ignore.

I use diskio.cache_stripe = 18 uTorrent Upload: 52.2MB Download: 2.8GB Process Explorer Disk I/O Read: 2.49GB (Upload 48X times!!!) Disk I/O Write: 2.44GB utorrent 3.0 is a lot of hard disk read. but not upload. I'm going back to 2.0.4

Upload: 337.0MB Download: 1.6GB But Process Explorer Disk I/O Read: 2.2GB (Upload X7 times!!!) Disk I/O Write: 1.82GB very strange. uTorrent 3.0(alpha, beta, RC, stable) creates diskoverload.
