450
I have just purchased an ad-free license. When I try to activate, uTorrent gives an error that reads: "Failed to reach activation server. Please check your internet connection and try again." My internet connection is working properly - I am able to download torrents, visit websites in my browser, etc. I am running Glasswire Firewall and PIA VPN. To my knowledge, there are not restrictions or rules in either application that would block uTorrent.
DreadWingKnight
And if you disable both your firewall and vpn?
450
Disabling both (quitting the main apps, killing remaining processes, disconnecting and reconnecting to the network) yields the same result. I've also searched through the rules for the firewall (both Glasswire and Windows firewall) to see if there were any blocking entries, but found none. 450
I figured this out on my own. Even with the VPN and firewall disabled, the SOCKS5 proxy was active in uTorrent. Temporarily disabling the proxy allowed me to activate the ad-free license.
