utorrent not resuming

Tried with both 1.1 and the dev version. Each time I restart ut it goes back to 0%.

I'm trying to switch from ABC to uTorrent.

When rejoining a torrent I've completed, uTorrent doesn't even scan to see what I already have. Right-clicking and forcing a re-scan returns 0% complete.

Reopening ABC and forcing a rehash, it finds I still have 100% complete.

Did you check the file or the folder names? uTorrent doesn't yet support unicode characters in file/folder names, so maybe this is the reason why she can't find the files to resume or seed.

The directory it is placed in uses a long name, but the files contained within it are in 8.3 format. And no special/foreign characters in either folder or filenames.

Maybe it is the long name... You can check with an utility (like Filemon :arrow: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html) where she is searching for the files, and compare it to where your files are.

When uTorrent is pointed at that folder, it looks for this:

D:TorrentsStuffToSeed<NameOfTorrent>

I don't see any option to disable this 'feature'.

In follow up to my original post this problem only seems to occur when you make a "settings.dat" in the home directory. If you stick with the default "applications data" location it seems to resume OK.
