MusicalPolack Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I made an idiot move and removed multiple torrents that were downloading. Is there any possible way that I can retrieve the incomplete files back and finish from where they left off? Also, how can I avoid this in the future? Thanks alot for your expertise and time. I appreciate it....
µtorrent-Guest Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 the how to is nearly identical to the migration-guide.you need the torrentfile and you must be able to point µT to where you have the partial content saved.how to avoid? next time first think, then act ;-)
Lord Alderaan Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 The incomplete files are still in the download folder (see preferences) unless you mean that you deleted those. Simply restarting/reloading the torrents (.torrent files) ,and if asked redesignate the same download location, should solve the former, the recycle bin or a undelete program might solve the latter.
MusicalPolack Posted November 2, 2006 Author Report Posted November 2, 2006 "how to avoid? next time first think, then act ;-)"I'm a polack, I think that's all I have to say...Ok, I didn't save the torrent files to my computer. Can I still get them back? Do you guys save the torrent file somewhere on your computer before you start downloading? Whats hash? (not the drug)Thanks for your help...
µtorrent-Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 µt saves the torrent file on your computer in the %appdata%\utorrent folder. If you have deleted the torrents files too, you must get them back from where you got them in the first place of course. And then just follow the given instructions. That's hash (not the drug): http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funkcja_haszuj%C4%85ca
