AthrunZala32
is there a way to allow files to be downloaded one by one and not all at the same time ? like i want to download file 1 first. Once it is completed, move on to file 2. is there any way to do like that?
Switeck
Not easily...you could set all but the 1st file to "don't download" and then when the 1st one completes, set the 2nd one to "download first", and so forth till the torrent finishes -- but you'd have to manually change every file that way. Such a feature won't be made automatic because it defeats the advantages of BitTorrent and can wreck trackers.
Lord Alderaan
Thats pretty much the only way yes. The question is why do u want to. The bittorrent system has certain methods to make sure its efficients and everybody enjoys reasonably high speeds. What you trying to do goes against that. If everybody would do it it would really harm the speeds.
Switeck
I can understand getting the first file this way in a 5+ part series...so you can check it to see if this is fake or misnamed.Beyond that, just let everything download as normal and let BitTorrent do its thing. It doesn't go any faster if you micromanage it like that -- if anything it'll probably be less than 1/2 as fast as it would normally. Even your upload speeds will suffer, making it harder for others to get the torrent.
