rahulthemiracle
I am using utorrent to download a 2 gb file. I live in remote place in India where power cuts r frequent.i hav started downloading that but my net speed is low ~128 kbps so i need to switch on my pc for a day long...i see that the file is in pieces of 4 MB...so the pieces which r been downloding go away when there is a power cut....after when i start the download it checks the torrent & then it download those pieces again....i cant understand where r my partially downloaded pieces gone...help me plz to figure out a possible solution to this...THANKX
DreadWingKnight
Nothing you can do except give the computer a chance to gracefully shut down instead of come down hard like that.Partially downloaded pieces don't pass hash checks, so they are discarded outright rather than risk corrupting them and forcing a re-download anyway.Nothing in uT can be done to prevent this.
