klmnop
Hi, i am a complete newbie to the whole port-forwarding and the setup of uTorrent. I am currently using Bitcomet but want to switch to uTorrent for obvious reasons, however i am very computer illiterate and need step-by-step help for setting up the program properly. here is my current connection setup:Modem -> RTP300 Linksys Vonage router -> WRT54G Linksys router -> 5 computers all via wirelessI previously attempted to set this up but got lost in the directions because of the 2 routers and must now start over. Please let me know if you need more information regarding my computer and my connection.Thank you in advance for your help.
DreadWingKnight
For the RTP->WRT forwarding, the WRT needs a static IP for its internet connection side (the same way a computer would) provided you don't have a way to change it into a bridging mode (which effectively turns the WRT into a switch and only a switch). klmnop
how would i go about making the WRT a static IP and what would this do for the other 4 wireless usersand if it is easier, how could i bridge the routers
DreadWingKnight
Setting the static IP on the WRT54G is done on the main page of the settings.Connection type: Static IPGet the information you need from the status page (like DNS, Gateway and such) and enter the correctly adjusted settings in the main page.
