ive tired everthing butnothing works. a little help please

my status light is always red. i dont know why. all my ports are forwarded, i dont have a firewall and windows firewall is turned off. i run the spead guide and its set to the correct setting.

i am using vista home basic so im thinking that might be the problem as the settings im currently using are the same as when i had win xp home on my old laptop.

please help as im thinking i might have to go back to bitcommet if this keeps up. i really dont want to though as it just sucks up all my memory and stuff

If you are running utorrent 1.6 or 1.6.1 try the newest beta 1.7

They should work with Windows Vista (look into changelog).

Did you delete the µTorrent entry in Vista's firewall settings and let Vista redetect µTorrent?

You need to use 1.7 on Vista. You also need to lower net.max_halfopen to 4.
