Blizzie
Hello there,I'm just wondering if it's possible to seed a torrent file to a specific IP address? Lets say I have a friend who's downloading a file. Can I add their IP to the list of IPs I'm seeding to?
Switeck
You can add their ip address (better include PORT number too or it won't work!) and you may connect to them and upload to them as well....But µTorrent won't give them any special treatment unless they happen to qualify as a local peer...generally meaning on the same LAN or ip subnet (last ip number is only thing different) as you. Blizzie
I tried right cicking to add IP/Port but it never works. How can I connect to them to upload to them?
µtorrent-Guest
if you entered your friends IP:PORT in that fashion and you don't connect to him then because you either have already all your allowed connected peer slots full, or your friend is firewalled and does not allow incomming connections. Switeck
If you're both firewalled, then you cannot connect at all!
