mythirdeye Posted August 21, 2007 Report Share Posted August 21, 2007 Frustrated by a number of hashfails from a range of ip addresses, I did a little "how to ban" snooping and learned about ipfilter.dat ...it's fairly easy to set up, but the finding out/setting it up process is probably enough that 90% of users won't touch it. Switeck Posted August 21, 2007 Report Share Posted August 21, 2007 If it was made easy -- such as right-click and permanently ban an ip, MANY people would be doing it without knowing what they're doing....and then torrents would stop for no apparent reason because the seeds and peers on the torrent "refuse to talk to one another".
