lfah2000
If I look at the logfile of my virusscanner I see that uTorrent wants to send mail and wants IRC communication. Why is that? This is a part of my logfile:28-11-2005 23:36:29 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail 2.194.143.728-11-2005 23:44:29 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail 62.194.143.728-11-2005 23:51:29 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail 62.194.143.729-11-2005 0:51:30 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent IRC communication 82.210.141.16929-11-2005 3:01:28 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent IRC communication 222.157.196.19629-11-2005 4:37:29 Blocked by port blocking rule utorrent.exe Prevent IRC communication 82.173.179.62This is from McAfee Virusscan 8.0iRegards,Frank. Martin
I'm guessing that all of those IPs are peers and they probably use 110 (POP3) and 6667-6669 (IRC) to bypass firewalls and throttling at their own end. Try checking the peerlist of one of your torrents for those IPs.
