read entire message errors

when i try to download some thing after about a minute i hear a "pop" then under the status bar it says error.. there.. not only can i not download i cannot read the entire error message so i can fix it been trying to fix this for days now its driving me nuts help please

by "pop" do you mean the generic windows error message sound?

If nothing shows up, try to hide/show with your bosskey, then alt-tab to the funny window without any dressing/theme. that is what most popup windows look like
